It's home to the adorable giant pandas in Chengdu, and the stunning Jiuzhaigou Valley, famed for its colorful lakes and multi-level waterfalls. Be sure to visit the Leshan Giant Buddha, a 71-meter tall stone statue carved into a cliff face.
Chongqing Province - A Blend of Culture and Nature
Chongqing is a bustling megacity of both modern urban life and rich cultural history. Visit the ancient town of Ciqikou to experience traditional architecture and street food. The Wulong Karst region is a must-see for its natural bridges and limestone formations. Enjoy the city’s night view dining along the Yangtze River.
Xi'an CITY - A Historical Treasure Trove
Xi'an, once the starting point of the Silk Road, is steeped in history. The famous Terracotta Army, a collection of thousands of life-sized sculptures representing the armies of Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of China, is an awe-inspiring sight. Yunnan PROVINCE - A Colorful Mosaic of Cultures
Yunnan is a melting pot of ethnic diversity and natural beauty. A short flight from Kunming is the old town of Lijiang, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that’s worth spending a few days exploring. From here you can also marvel at the picturesque views of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain.
The capital city of Yunnan, Kunming, is blend of urban charm and natural beauty. Highlights include: The Stone Forest (Shilin), Dianchi Lake, Jiuxiang Cave and the vibrant night markets and culinary scene in the city itself. Yunnan is also the perfect place to experience the unique cultures of China's ethnic minorities at the Yunnan Nationalities Village.
West Lake, Hangzhou - A Poetic Vision
West Lake in Hangzhou is the epitome of classical Chinese beauty. Its beautiful waters, pagodas, and landscaped gardens have inspired poets and artists for centuries. The whole area is covered in greenery! There’s a reason why it’s know as ‘heaven on earth’.
Take a relaxing boat ride on the lake, walk along the Su Causeway, and visit the historic Lingyin Temple. Just keep in mind some seasons are extremely busy due to the local festivals.
